This paper presents the performance analysis of the self-interference cancellation (SIC) methods in full-duplex large-scale multiple-input multiple-output systems. To mitigate self-interference (SI), we assume that the full duplex-base station (BS) uses SI-subtraction or spatial suppression. Analytical and numerical results confirm that the SI-subtraction outperforms the spatial suppression for SIC in a perfect channel estimation case. It is also concluded that the uplink and the overall…

SLNR-Based Precoding for Single Cell Full-Duplex MU-MIMO Systems

This paper proposes signal-to-leakage-and-noise ratio (SLNR) precoding for downlink channel and self-interference plus noise covariance matrix aware SLNR precode for the uplink channel to improve the spectral efficiency of FD mode systems in the Rician fading environment.

Massive MIMO-Enabled Full-Duplex Cellular Networks

The results indicate that the UL rate bottleneck in the FD baseline single-input single-output system can be overcome via exploiting massive MIMO, and the anticipated twofold increase in SE is shown to be only achievable when the number of antennas tends to be infinitely large.

Performance Analysis of Massive MIMO for Cell-Boundary Users

In this paper, we consider massive multiple-input-multiple-output systems for both downlink and uplink scenarios, where three radio units connected via one digital unit support multiple user

Performance of Conjugate and Zero-Forcing Beamforming in Large-Scale Antenna Systems

This work compares the two most prominent linear pre-coders, conjugate beamforming and zero-forcing, with respect to net spectral-efficiency and radiated energy-efficiency in a simplified single-cell scenario where propagation is governed by independent Rayleigh fading, and where channel-state information acquisition and data transmission are both performed during a short coherence interval.

Full-duplex bidirectional MIMO: Achievable rates under limited dynamic range

Numerical results confirm that the proposed system with two transmit/receive antennas achieves the full degrees of freedom of the two-cell multiple-input multiple-output channel while showing a better sum rate performance than competitive solutions such as non-cooperative eigen-beamforming and interference nulling.
