Cardiac Perforation Related to Mitral Valve Relacement Surgery A 55 years old female patient with a history of epilepsy, was admitted for elective cardiac surgery. Mitral valve replacement was performed with bioprosthesis, The surgery was complicated by a left ventricular laceration that ultimately resulted in the death of the patient during the postoperative period. The autopsy findings are presented.
