The binding of the cyclic somatostatin analogue SMS 201-995, (+)-D-Phe1-Cys2-Phe3-D-Trp4-(+)-Lys5-Thr6- Cys7-Thr(ol)8, to neutral and negatively charged lipids was investigated with a centrifugation assay and with electrophoretic and monolayer methods.
