This paper reports our research work in the new field of humancomputer collaborative learning (HCCL): a theoretical framework is proposed, design principles are elaborated and a working system is described. The general architecture of an HCCL is defined. The design of the computational learner concentrates the mechanisms by which learners internalise mutual regulation processes.
