ABSTRACT This paper documents the species of Pectinoidea Rafinesque, 1815 collected in Vanuatu during the SANTO 2006 expedition. A total of 49 species (13 Propeamussiidae Abbott, 1954, 4 Cyclochlamydidae n. fam., 1 Entoliidae Teppner, 1922, and 31 Pectinidae Rafinesque, 1815) are represented, of which 70% are new records for Vanuatu. A new family, Cyclochlamydidae n. fam., is established for the genera Cyclochlamys Finlay, 1926, Chlamydella lredale, 1929 and Micropecten n. gen., formerly placed…

A new Patagonian long-lived species of Cyclochlamys Finlay, 1926 (Bivalvia: Pectinoidea)

Small mollusks clearly belong in Cyclochlamys because of shell characters such as the irregularly pitted prodissoconch I and right valve with commarginally elongated rectangular prisms over most of disc, which shows affinities with taxa such as C. aupouria and C. shepherdi, which are known from areas of New Zealand.

Pectinoidea (Bivalvia: Propeamussiidae, Entoliidae and Pectinidae) from the Tarava Seamounts, Society Islands and the Tuamotu Archipelago (French Polynesia)

Eighteen species of Pectinoidea are listed from the Tarava Seamounts, Society Islands and Tuamotu Archipelago, French Polynesia, and four Propeamussiidae species are new to science.

Four new species of the family Propeamussiidae (Mollusca: Bivalvia) from the abyssal zone of the northwestern Pacific, with notes on Catillopecten squamiformis (Bernard, 1978)

Based on the material collected from 1949 to 2015 by nine deep-sea expeditions, four new species of the family Propeamussiidae and Catillopecten squamiformis were found in the abyssal zone of the Bering Sea, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the northwestern Pacific.

Pectinoidea (Bivalvia: Propeamussiidae and Cyclochlamydidae) from the Southwestern Indian Ocean

ABSTRACT Twenty-five species of Pectinoidea (24 Propeamussiidae, 1 Cyclochlamydidae) are herein listed from the Mozambique Channel, northwestern and southern Madagascar, and northeastern South

New species and new records of bathyal living Pectinoidea (Bivalvia: Propeamussiidae: Pectinidae) from the Southwest Pacific

Nineteen species of Pectinoidea (16 Propeamussiidae, 3 Pectinidae) are herein listed, and one pectinid species from Vanuatu (Juxtamusium sp.) will be described later, when more material becomes available.

Bathyal and abyssal Pectinoidea from the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

Sixteen species of Pectinoidea (12 Propeamussiidae, 1 Entoliidae and 3 Pectinidae), collected during several expeditions to the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden are listed, with notes on geographical and

Pectinoidea (Mollusca, Bivalvia, Propeamussiidae, Entoliidae and Pectinidae) from the Austral Islands (French Polynesia)

The near-shore fauna of Rapa has 12 species of Pectinidae, and half of these have narrow-range distributions, and such a remarkably high level of marine endemism is shared by other mollusc taxa on Rapa.

Some Pectinoidea (Mollusca: Bivalvia: Propeamussiidae, Pectinidae) of the Red Sea

Four species of Propeamussiidae and 18 species of Pectinidae were recognized and one pectinid taxon, Mirapecten yaroni, is undescribed.

Pectinoidea (Mollusca: Bivalvia: Propeamussiidae: Pectinidae) of Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island and the Kermadec Islands

Twenty-four pectinoidean species are recorded from Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island and the Kermadec Islands, and eighteen species are new records, and these are compared with similar species from the Australasian region.

The Recent Pectinoidea of the New Zealand region (Mollusca: Bivalvia: Propeamussiidae, Pectinidae and Spondylidae)

Pronounced sculptural change in response to settlement of sponge on the shell is recorded in Talochlamys dichroa and Zygochlamys delicatula and is also the first record in Propeamussiidae.
