The writer would like to state first that he has responded with a discussion to a previous publication by the author (Leshchinsky 2000). That discussion was followed by a comprehensive paper (Leshchinsky 2001) introducing a possible procedure to account for peak strength of soil in the framework of limit equilibrium analysis.
