Pathogenic bacteria and fungi associated with external ocular diseases in dogs: 131 cases (1981-1986).

Abstract

Medical records of 131 dogs with external ocular diseases were reviewed. Bacteriologic culture of swab specimens from 151 eyes revealed 100 eyes (66.2%) were considered positive for potentially pathogenic microorganisms.
