We calculate positions of one- and two-particle, proton and neutron drip lines within the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory using Skyrme interaction. We also determine an approximate [ital r]-process path defined as a line where the neutron binding energy is equal to 2 MeV. A weakening of the nuclear shell structure at drip lines is found and interpreted as resulting from a coupling with continuum states.

Neutron radii and skins in the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculations
We examine the systematic predictions for proton and neutron radii in even-even nuclei made by the self-consistent Skyrme-Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory. Such an approach allows us to describe nucleiExpand
Deformation of nuclei close to the two-neutron drip line in Mg region
We present Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) calculations of the ground states of even Mg isotopes. A Skyrme force is used in the mean-field channel and a density-dependent zero-range force in theExpand

Closed shells at drip-line nuclei
The shell structure of magic nuclei far from stability is discussed in terms of the self-consistent spherical Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory. In particular, the sensitivity of the shell-gap sizes andExpand
Nuclear deformation study using the framework of self-consistence Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov
Abstract In the present work the nuclear deformation of Sodium, Silicon, Chromium, and Samarium isotopes has been investigated within the framework of Skyrme-Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov method. InExpand
Neutron driplines for Ca and Pb using modified relativistic mean field (MRMF) model
The position of two neutron driplines for Ca and Pb nuclei are studied using four different parameter sets obtained from Modified Relativistic Mean Field (MRMF) model. The roles ofExpand
Nuclear skins and halos in the mean field theory
Nuclei with large neutron-to-proton ratios have neutron skins, which manifest themselves in an excess of neutrons at distances greater than the radius of the proton distribution. In addition, someExpand
A systematic study of the ground state properties of W, Os and Pt isotopes using HFB theory
A systematic study of the ground state properties of transitional nuclei W, Os and Pt is conducted with the help of Skyrme–Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov theory. Different Skyrme interactions are employedExpand
Staggering behavior of0+state energies in theSp(4)pairing model
