Publisher Summary Co supported catalysts have been prepared by the reduction of the perovskites LnCoO 3 (Ln=La, Pr, Nd, Sm and Gd) to produce Co°/Ln 2 O 3 . Detailed temperature programmed reduction (TPR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies showed that the perovskite NdCoO 3 is reduced in two steps, first to NdCoO 2.5 and further to Co°/Ln 2 O 3 and in both stages it was demonstrated that the reoxidation with O 2 is capable to recover the perovskite structure.
