  • The article describes the state of Csikszereda military chapelry in 1829 based on the records of the visitation made in the same year by Bishop Miklos Kovacs. Csikszereda – this small country town – gained its importance amidst the other, more populated settlements of the region due to the fact that beginning with 1764 it was the center of the First Szekely Infantry Regiment founded by Empress Maria Theresa.
