–A summary of the literature on the parasites (protozoans, digenetic trematodes, monogeneans, cestodes, and nematodes) of amphibians and reptiles (herps) in Michigan is presented. It is divided into three sections: 1.) a list of the parasite species by taxonomic group and family followed by their herp hosts and studies, 2.) a list of the herp species in Michigan by order and family and their parasites, and 3.) a list of body sites occupied by parasites in herps by order. At least 84 studies…
Checklist of helminths from lizards and amphisbaenians (Reptilia, Squamata) of South America
A comprehensive and up to date summary of the literature on the helminth parasites of lizards and amphisbaenians from South America is herein presented. One-hundred eighteen lizard species from
Metazoan parasitological research on three species of anurans collected from Çanakkale Province, Northwestern Turkey
TLDR
The helminth fauna of European common toad, European green toad and marsh frog were collected in Canakkale Province (northwestern Turkey) between 2000 and 2003 and examined for helminths.
Helminths of the American bullfrog, Lithobates catesbeianus (Shaw, 1802), from Pawnee Lake, Lancaster, Nebraska, USA with a checklist of its helminth parasites
The American bullfrog, Lithobates catesbeianus, is one of the most intensively studied host species. However, most of the records related to the parasites of this anuran are scattered through the
Impacts of agriculture on the parasite communities of northern leopard frogs (Rana pipiens) in southern Quebec, Canada
TLDR
It is suggested that agriculture and urbanization may hinder parasite transmission to frogs by limiting access of other vertebrate hosts of their parasites to wetlands, suggesting generalist parasites may persist in disrupted habitats.
New records of Helminths in Reptiles from five states of Brazil.
TLDR
Forty five specimens representing nine species of reptile collected in five Brazilian states were examined for helminths, finding 12 helminth species.
Causes and consequences of seasonal dynamics in the parasite community of red-spotted newts ( Notophthalmus viridescens )
TLDR
Results of field studies describing seasonal patterns for multiple parasitic infections and testing between potential drivers of parasite infection risk using red-spotted newts as a model species suggest that parasites may influence the the newt life history strategy by driving newts onto land during the summer.
Two New Species of Camallanus (Nematoda: Camallanidae) From Freshwater Turtles in Queensland, Australia
TLDR
2 new species of Camallanus (Nematoda: Camallanidae) from freshwater turtles collected in Queensland, Australia are described: Cam allanus nithoggi n.
The infection with the nematode Cosmocercoides variabilis and the protozoan Opalina in the frog Rana ridibunda ridibunda
TLDR
The present study surveyed frogs from Diyala province to investigate the parasitic infection in this animal and identified Cosmocercoides variabilis and the Opalina, both of which were identified as intestinal parasites.
Additional Morphological Features and Molecular Data of Paracamallanus cyathopharynx (Nematoda: Camallanidae) Infecting Clarias gariepinus (Actinopterygii: Clariidae) in Kenya.
TLDR
Parasites collected from the posterior end of the intestine of cultured freshwater Sharptooth catfish Clarias gariepinus from Kibos fish farm, Kisumu County, Kenya, from December 2017 to March 2018 represent the first geographical record of P. cyathopharynx in Kenya.
First Report of Telorchis assula (Digenea: Telorchiidae) in Three Reptile Species from North of Iran
TLDR
Investigation in Mazandaran, north of Iran for the presence of Telorchis assula found one M. caspica caspicas, 11 N. natrix and 5 N. tessellate have been infected with T. assula.

Life history of Spirorchis elephantis (Cort, 1917), a new blood fluke from Chrysemys picta.
TLDR
This infection experiment with turtles furnished the clue to the definitive host of Spirorchis elephantis and led to the investigation of its life history, and to the establishment of a new group of cercariae.
Notes on the Life History of Ophiotaenia saphena from Rana clamitans Latr.
TLDR
It is concluded that tapeworms of frogs are not common and that even less is known concerning their life histories.
Observations on the Morphology and Life History of Oswaldocruzia sp. in Frogs
A series of experiments were instituted in order to clarify the life history of Oswaldocruzia sp., a nematode of frogs. Suitable hosts were collected and examined for the nematode. Artificial
Parasite (Ribeiroia ondatrae) infection linked to amphibian malformations in the western United States
TLDR
It is demonstrated that Ribeiroia infection is an important and widespread cause of amphibian limb malformations in the western United States and the relevance of trematode infection to declines of amphibians populations and the influence of habitat modification on the pathology and life cycle of Ribeira are emphasized as areas requiring further research.
Systema Helminthum. Volume II
TLDR
The present volume describes tapeworms found in fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, designed primarily for laboratory workers in the field of helminthology.
Helminths of Notophthalmus viridescens (Caudata: Salamandridae) from 118th Pond, Michigan, U.S.A
TLDR
The helminth fauna of newts from 118th Pond is not host specific because these 5 helminths species also infected green frogs in an earlier study from this pond.
Amphibians, Trematodes, and Deformities: An Overview from Southern Michigan
TLDR
Investigation of the helminths infecting amphibians from southern Michigan found that high numbers of many species of larval and juvenile helminth were found infecting the hind limbs, but these Helminths did not cause deformities in southern Michigan.
Helminth infracommunities of the frogs Rana catesbeiana and Rana clamitans from Turkey Marsh, Michigan.
TLDR
The larger and more aquatic of the 2 hosts, R. catesbeiana, had the highest mean number of helminth species,Helminth intensity, diversity, and evenness, and was more diverse than other helminths communities studied in amphibians.
Environmental relations and life history of the tapeworm Bothriocephalus rarus Thomas.
TLDR
The data assembled here are the culmination of experiments made and notes taken during the summers I927 to 1933 at the University of Michigan Biological Station.
The Influences of Temperature on the Host-Parasite Relationships of Several Species of Snakes Infected with Entamoeba invadens*
TLDR
Entamoeba invadens was studied in 8 species of snakes at temperatures of 13–14° and 25°C and for the last S species, the pathology in the liver and intestine was so characteristic as to provide an adequate basis for identification of the snake.
