Squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) are common feline skin tumours. While exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light causes some SCCs, a subset develop in UV-protected skin. In cats, papillomaviruses (PVs) cause viral plaques and Bowenoid in situ carcinomas (BISCs).
