The goal of this study was to determine the factors controlling the settlement and the growth of the coral-dominated reefs in the Oxfordian of the Swiss Jura Mountains, and to analyse how eustatic, climatic and trophic variations are recorded. These reefs developed on a relatively wide and very shallow sub-tropical platform, influenced by periodic siliciclastic input. The coral composition is dominated by microsolenid corals.
