A pair-density-wave (PDW) is a superconducting state with an oscillating order parameter. A microscopic mechanism that can give rise to it has been long sought but has not yet been established by any controlled calculation. Here we report a density-matrix renormalization-group (DMRG) study of an effective t - J - V model, which is equivalent to the Holstein-Hubbard model in a strong-coupling limit, on long two-, four-, and six-leg triangular cylinders. While a state with long-range PDW order is…

Pair density wave and reentrant superconducting tendencies originating from valley polarization
We investigate superconducting pairing tendencies of a two-dimensional electron fluid with both valley and spin degrees of freedom, both without and in the presence of an in-plane magnetic field. We

Evidence of pair-density wave in spin-valley locked systems
This work finds the first robust evidence for a PDW within density matrix renormalization group simulation of a simple fermionic model and points to a tantalizing possibility in hole-doped group VI transition metal dichalcogenides, with spin-valley locked band structure and moderate correlations.
Precursor of pair-density wave in doping Kitaev spin liquid on the honeycomb lattice
We study the effects of doping the Kitaev model on the honeycomb lattice where the spins interact via the bond-directional interaction J K , which is known to have a quantum spin liquid as its exact
Gapless spin liquid and pair density wave of the Hubbard model on three-leg triangular cylinders
We study the ground state properties of the Hubbard model on three-leg triangular cylinders using large-scale density-matrix renormalization group simulations. At half-filling, we identify an
The Physics of Pair-Density Waves: Cuprate Superconductors and Beyond
We review the physics of pair-density wave (PDW) superconductors. We begin with a macroscopic description that emphasizes order induced by PDW states, such as charge-density wave, and discuss related
Striped superconductors: how spin, charge and superconducting orders intertwine in the cuprates
Recent transport experiments in the original cuprate high temperature superconductor, La2−xBaxCuO4, have revealed a remarkable sequence of transitions and crossovers that give rise to a form of

The ITensor Software Library for Tensor Network Calculations
The philosophy behind ITensor, a system for programming tensor network calculations with an interface modeled on tensor diagram notation, and examples of each part of the interface including Index objects, the ITensor product operator, Tensor factorizations, tensor storage types, algorithms for matrix product state (MPS) and matrix product operator (MPO) tensor networks, and the NDTensors library are discussed.
In situ click chemistry generation of cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors
In situ click chemistry is used to develop COX-2 specific inhibitors with high in vivo anti-inflammatory activity, significantly higher than that of widely used selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors.
