Pain and clinical thrombophlebitis following intravenous diazepam and lorazepam.

Abstract

Eighty-seven per cent of surgical patients receiving undiluted diazepam experienced pain on injection while 6-16%, depending on the dose, manifested evidence of clinical thrombophlebitis.
