The present study describes the production, purification and characterization of alkaline protease from mutant strain of Bacillus subtilis EMS-8. The enzyme was purified using ammonium sulphate precipitation which gave 2.64 fold purification with 81.5% yield at 70% saturation. The molecular weight of the enzyme was determined using SDS-PAGE and it was found to be 25 KDa. The optimum pH of enzyme activity was 8.5; however the enzyme remained stable up to pH 10 after 24 hrs of incubation…

In this study, production of protease in solid state fermentation using Bacillus licheniformis was investigated. Fermentation was carried out in batch and semi-bath systems including flask and tray

Pilot-Scale Protease Production by Bacillus sp. C4 for Silk Degumming Processes

The stability test of the protease showed that the addition of CaCl2 prolonged the stability of the Protease activity from 4 to 8 weeks at room temperature, indicating that the prote enzyme can be conveniently preserved at roomTemperature for 1 month and at 4°C for more than 2 months without the added of any chemicals/cryoprotectants.

CHARACTERIZATION AND DETERGENT COMPATIBILITY OF PURIFIED PROTEASE PRODUCED FROM Aspergillus niger BY UTILIZING AGRO WASTES

The maximum production of protease in the presence of a cheaper substrate at low concentration and its potential as a detergent additive for improved washing makes the strain and its enzymes potentially useful for industrial purposes, especially for the detergent and laundry industry.

Purification and partial characterization of two extracellular alkaline proteases from Streptomyces corchorusii ST36

Two distinct alkaline proteases were detected in the culture medium of Streptomyces corchorusii ST36 isolated from an Egyptian soil sample and both enzymes showed substrate specificity to casein, serum albumin, and ovalbumin.

Production of alkaline protease with immobilized cells of bacillus subtilis PE-11 in various matrices by entrapment technique

It is concluded that the immobilized cells ofB subtilis PE-11 in calcium alginate are more efficient for the production of alkaline protease with repeated batch fermentation.

Maximization of Intracellular Lipase Production in a Lipase-Overproducing Mutant Derivative of Rhizopus oligosporus DGM 31: A Kinetic Study

It was confirmed that lipase production in the derepressed mutant is sufficiently uncoupled from catabolite repression, and mutation decreased the magnitude of enthalpy and entropy demand in the inactivation equilibrium during product formation, suggesting that mutation made the metabolic network of the organism thermally more stable.
