Cognitive radio has emerged as a new technology that provides usage of unused or under-utilized portions of frequency bands in an effective manner. Wireless cognitive radio networks aims to take advantage of vacant or under-utilized portions of the spectrum by allowing secondary users to sense the frequency bands with various sensing techniques in an opportunistic manner.
