El trabajo que presentamos sintetiza nuestros conocimientos actuales sobre plantas y otras sustancias alimenticias que sirven de alimentos naturales a las larvas de 1os lepidopteros uruguayos. Abstract This research is related to the host-plant and any other foods of the lepidopterous larvae of the fauna of the Republic of Uruguay , under natural conditions.
Primer registro para Uruguay de Brassolis astyra Godart (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae, Brassolinae)
TLDR
Se menciona por primera vez the presencia oficiales de Brassolis astyra Godart en tres localidades de Uruguay. Expand
Ecology and Control of Erinnyis ello and E. alope, Important Insect Pests in the New World
TLDR
The perspectives for improved control of E. ello with special reference to rubber plantations in Brazil, through the manipulation of natural enemies, a more rational use of insecticides and the adoption of certain cultural methods are discussed. Expand
Biologia de Hylesia nigricans (Berg) (Lepidoptera, Saturniidae, Hemileucinae)
TLDR
The main biological aspects of this species are detailed with observations in the nature and in laboratory, they were also related behavioral aspects and host plants observed in field and referred in bibliography. Expand
Primer registro de Hypercompe indecisa (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae: Arctiinae) en perales y álamos en la Patagonia

Hypercompe indecisa is reported for the first time in Patagonia and is the first record of this species on Populus spp. Expand
Lepidoptera (Insecta) associated with soybean in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay
TLDR
Diversity of Lepidoptera associated to crop, injury in different parts of the plant, and changes in species composition are discussed considering the changes in plant disease management, introduction of plants expressing Bt proteins, and the recent introduction of Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) as a new crop pest. Expand
Estágios imaturos de Actinote carycina Jordan (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae, acraeinae)
Data on the life cycle and morphology of immature stages of Actinote carycina Jordan, 1913 are presented. The larvae feed on leaves of Eupatorium inulaefolium H.B.K. (Asteraceae).
Aspectos biológicos e morfológicos de Leucanella viridescens (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae: Hemileucinae)
TLDR
Parts of the biology and morphology of Leucanella viridescens, a polyphytophagous species that is a pest to several crops of economical interest and whose larvae may cause erucism, are described. Expand
Interaction between Papilio hectorides (Papilionidae) and four host plants (Piperaceae, Rutaceae) in a southern Brazilian population.
TLDR
The most heavily used plant in the field resulted in the highest growth rates in the laboratory, but a infre- quently used species (Piper amalago) was equally suitable for larval growth. Expand
Aucula magnifica (Schaus, 1904) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae: Agaristinae): morphology of egg and last instar larvae.
TLDR
The morphology of the egg and last instar larvae of Aucula magnifica (Schaus, 1904) is detailed, emphasising the structures of the corium and the chaetotaxy. Expand
