PIEZOTRANSDUCERS WITH ACOUSTIC LENSES FORMING NARROW WEAKLY DIVERGING ULTRASONIC BEAMS

The properties of acoustic fields produced by piezoelectric transducers with “logarithmic” lenses are analyzed. It is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally that such a lens has the ability to collimate the acoustic beam, i.e. transducer with “logarithmic” lens forms a narrow weakly diverging ultrasonic beam.
