Thirty-two single crosses of orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) were used to produce 31 double crosses and 26 mixtures of two single crosses. The double crosses yielded 102% as much forage as the check cultivar Frode, with a range of 95–109%. Single-cross mixtures averaged 100%, with a range of 96–109%. It should be possible to produce seed of single cross mixtures in commercial quantities.
