Oxygen semipermeability and electronic conductivity in calcia-stabilized zirconia

The oxygen semipermeability of calcia-stabilized zirconia tubes has been studied up to 2073 K, by determination of the oxygen flow through the electrolyte tube and it is found to be in good agreement with the theoretical expression for the oxygen electrochemical transport in these materials. The parameterp⊝, at which the ionic transference number is equal to 0.5, has been deduced from the oxygen permeability measurements and is compared with different results obtained by various techniques.
