We report the case of a 64-year-old patient who developed autoimmune hemolytic anemia with thrombocytopenia and acute renal failure shortly after the infusion of the 11th cycle of adjuvant chemotherapy with oxaliplatin, folinic acid and 5-fluorouracil (FOLFOX 4), and was successfully treated by means of plasmapheresis, corticosteroids and dialysis.
