Texture is pervasive in natural images and is a powerful cue for a variety of image analysis and computer vision applications like image segmentation, shape recovery from texture, and image retrieval [1]. Texture analysis has wide range of applications like medical diagnosis, content-based-image retrieval, satellite imaging and many others.
