A fisheries survey was conducted on Long Lake, Woodens River, Halifax County, Nova Scotia in May 2005. A total of 2711 yellow perch (Perca flavescens) were captured during a twelve day sampling period and were the most abundant fish captured. Fifty-eight yellow perch were sampled for length, weight, scales, and sex. Mean total length of yellow perch was 133mm and ranged from 81mm to 276 mm.
