Gastric cancer is one of the most lethal malignancies of gastrointestinal cancer and its prognosis remains dismal because of the paucity of effective therapeutic targets. Here, we show that cystatin 4 (CST4) is markedly upregulated in gastric cancer cell lines and clinical tissues. Ectopic expression of CST4 in gastric cancer cells promoted proliferation, migration, and invasion of gastric cancer cells in vitro. Furthermore, CST4 overexpression significantly promoted the tumorigenicity of… Expand

miRNA-6715-5p Inhibits Cellular Proliferation and Invasion in Colorectal Cancer by Directly Targeting CST4
TLDR
CST4 expression was significantly higher than that in normal paracancerous tissues, but the results for miRNA-6715-5p were opposite, suggesting CST4 may be involved in CRC proliferation and metastasis. Expand
Prognostic value of immune-related cells and genes in the tumor microenvironment of ovarian cancer, especially CST4.
TLDR
It is indicated that infiltration of immune cells affected the survival of patients with OC, provided therapeutic targets represented by CST4, deepened the understanding of the immune microenvironment of OC, and enhanced the theoretical basis of immunotherapy. Expand

TLDR
The results indicate that the combination of LINC00470 and ELFN2 has important significance for evaluating the prognosis of astrocytoma patients. Expand
Genome-wide analysis of prognostic-related lncRNAs, miRNAs and mRNAs forming a competing endogenous RNA network in lung squamous cell carcinoma
TLDR
A better understanding of the ceRNA network in the progression of LUSC is provided and it is indicated that lncRNA signature and mRNA signature could independently predict overall survival in L USC patients. Expand
Molecular Signature of Subtypes of Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer by Large-Scale Transcriptional Profiling: Identification of Key Modules and Genes by Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA)
TLDR
CTLA4, MZB1, NIP7, and BUB1B in ADC, as well as GNG11 and CCNB2 in SCC, are novel top hub genes in modules associated with tumour size, SUVmax, and recurrence-free survival. Expand
Lung adenocarcinoma and lung squamous cell carcinoma cancer classification, biomarker identification, and gene expression analysis using overlapping feature selection methods
TLDR
This study proposes to use overlapping traditional feature selection or feature reduction techniques for cancer classification and biomarker discovery, and identifies multiple known biomarkers, and five potentially novel biomarkers with high discriminating values between LUAD and LUSC. Expand
ELFN2 is a postsynaptic cell adhesion molecule with essential roles in controlling group III mGluRs in the brain and neuropsychiatric behavior
TLDR
It is concluded that extracellular transsynaptic scaffolding by ELFN2 in the brain is a cardinal organizational feature of group III mGluRs essential for their signaling properties and brain function. Expand
