The cave crickets of northeast Turkey and transCaucasian regions, with descriptions of two new species of the genera Dolichopoda and Troglophilus (Orthoptera, Rhaphidophoridae)
TLDR
Two new species of cave crickets are described from Turkey, one for each of the genera Troglophilus and Dolichopoda, which have only a slight degree of adaptation to cave habitats, which seem to be used only as seasonal shelter.
Four new species of Dolichopoda Bolivar, 1880 from Southern Sporades and Western Turkey (Orthoptera, Rhaphidophoridae, Dolichopodainae)
TLDR
Four new species of Dolichopoda Bolivar, 1880 (Orthoptera, Rhaphidophoridae) from Eastern Aegean region (Southern Sporades), including Western Turkey, is reported, strengthening the hypothesis that the central area of dispersal for the genus would correspond to the ancient Aegeans plate.
New insights on Troglophilus ( Orthoptera Rhaphidophoridae ) species distribution in the westernmost area of their main range ( Northern Italy )
TLDR
An effective, fast, simple, economical and easily reproducible protocol for DNA extraction was optimized for this taxon and the presence of T. cavicola and T. neglectus was reported for the first time in caves of the westernmost area of Northern Italy.
A general model for the life cycle of Dolichopoda cave crickets (Orthoptera: Rhaphidophoridae)
A general model of the Dolichopoda cave cricket life cycle was produced using RAMAS/stage simulations based on the Beverton & Holt recruitment function. The model indicates the main population
NEW RECORD OF DOLICHOPODA FROM NORTHERN IRAN (Orthoptera, Rhaphidophoridae)
The record of a new sample of Dolichopoda from Northern Iran is reported. The morphological study of this material allowed the authors to attribute the studied specimens to D. Hyrcana Bey-Bienko,
