Spontaneous mutations in inbred strains provide valuable resources for new disease models. Unfortunately, these mutations may affect reproduction, which require considerable efforts in breeding management. We transplanted ovaries of such mutant rat strains orthotopically into ovariectomized premature coisogenic recipients.
