Space deficiency in a crowded dentition is a main indication for premolar extraction therapy. Class I malocclusions with severe crowding in non growing patients can be treated by upper lower first premolar extraction using an edgewise technique with multi loop edgewise arch wire (MEAW). The following case report describes a patient with severe tooth crowding, where the result of the treatment was acceptable and relatively stable. It was concluded that the elimination of tooth tissue discrepancy…

Efektivitas Busur Multiloop Edgewise Pada Kasus Crowding Berat Disertai Palatal Bite

The result showed that MEAW could correct severe crowding, palatal bite and scissor bite using multiloop edgewise archwire, a tehnique able to efficiently treat many cases including severerowding with very low load deflection.

[Orthodontic treatment of adults with periodontal disease].

As a result of free mandibular movement by applied mild orthodontic forces and balanced occlusion, infrabony defects improved to achieve a higher level of the alveolar crest.

Periodontal status of secondary crowded mandibular incisors. Long-term results after orthodontic treatment.

A small but statistically significant difference in probing attachment level was found between crowded and aligned interproximal areas within the same individual (P less than 0.05), and no differences were found for any of the dependent variables between the groups with crowded and align incisors.

Comparison of microbial composition in the subgingival plaque of adult crowded versus non-crowded dental regions.

Investigation of the presence and proportional distribution of periodontopathogens in the subgingival plaque of adult crowded versus non-crowded dental regions found that supragingival plaque accumulation in crowded regions was significantly greater than in non-Crowded regions.
