The homomultimeric archaeal mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) complex serves as a simple model for the analogous heterohexameric eukaryotic complex. Here we investigate the organization and orientation of the MCM complex of the hyperthermophilic archaeon Sulfolobus solfataricus (Sso) on model DNA substrates.
