Orientation and organization of two amphiphilic push-pull chromophores mixed with two phospholipids (dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine and dioleoylphosphatidylcholine) in Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) monolayers are investigated by second harmonic generation. The LB monolayers have also been characterized by atomic force microscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy.
