In the last decade, there has been an increase in research related to green corrosion inhibitors for conservation of metals cultural heritage to help promote sustainable practices in the field that are safe, environmentally friendly, and ecologically acceptable. The most common are organic substances derived either from natural and/or biological sources: plant extracts and oils, amino acids, microorganisms, and biopolymers. The chapter will provide a review of these substances as corrosion…

Brewed Robusta Coffee Increases Nickel Ion Release from Dental Alloys: An In Vitro Study
TLDR
The concentration of nickel increased in saliva of low pH due to brewed coffee, and dentists should be cautious when using instructions for patients with a history of allergies especially for dietary with low acidity.

Green Corrosion Inhibitors from Natural Sources and Biomass Wastes
TLDR
The present review is meant as a constructive criticism to highlight the weak points of the green inhibitors field as to re-evaluate the literature and address the future research in the field that still lacks rationalization.
Green Inhibitors for Corrosion Protection of Metals and Alloys: An Overview
Corrosion control of metals is of technical, economical, environmental, and aesthetical importance. The use of inhibitors is one of the best options of protecting metals and alloys against corrosion.
Electrochemical characterization of organic coatings for protection of historic steel artefacts
Electrochemical techniques are mainly known in the field of cultural heritage conservation as a tool for the elimination of corrosion layers or the removal of chlorides. However, these techniques are
Remedial Treatment of Corroded Iron Objects by Environmental Aeromonas Isolates
TLDR
This study shows how naturally occurring microorganisms and their metabolic capabilities can be used to develop bio-inspired solutions to the problem of metal corrosion.
Spectroscopic characterization of an innovative biological treatment for corroded metal artefacts
Nowadays, organic coatings such as waxes, acrylic resins, and corrosion inhibitors are commonly used for the protection and corrosion inhibition of metal artefacts. However, research efforts still
Organic green corrosion inhibitors (OGCIs): a critical review
Abstract Over the decades, corrosion has resulted in loss of lives accorded with damage costs in almost all engineering fields. Thus, it is seen as an environmental threat with catastrophic
Corrosion inhibitors for the preservation of metallic heritage artefacts
Abstract: This chapter reviews the applicability and specific uses of corrosion inhibitors in metal conservation practice. Corrosion inhibitors are one of the different methods used by
