[Drug therapy of erectile dysfunction--the current status].
TLDR
In the medicinal therapy of erectile dysfunction, both oral as well as local application are possible, and the intra-cavernosal pharmacotherapy with PGE(1) is considered the gold standard when oral therapies do not work or can not be used. Expand

The phase III trials of Apomorphine SL show that there is a clinically important restoration of erectile function from this new formulation of apomorphine, which has a rapid and safe effect through action in the central nervous system. Expand

Apomorphine will act as an erectogenic agent when absorbed through the oral mucosa in a carefully selected group of impotent patients with no documentable organic causes of erectile dysfunction, 67% will experience significantly durable erections with a dose of 3 or 4 mg of apomorphine when formulated for controlled absorption.
