Summary This study was undertaken in order to assess the frequency and to explore the role of oral apraxia in expressive disturbances of speech. Forty right brain damaged patients, 134 left brain damaged patients and 40 control patients were given an oral apraxia test and a limb apraxia test for intransitive movements.
