Abstract-In this paper we address the problem of optimal positioning of a service facility among moving existing ones. A model is developed to find the initial location, thevelocity and the direction of the service facility in order to minimize the cost of travel over a given time horizon. This horizon is divided into periods; in each of these periods the level of service required by each facility as well as velocity, magnitude and direction remains constant.
