Optimization study for Waterproof breathable Polyester fabric

title={Optimization study for Waterproof breathable Polyester fabric},
author={Ravindra D. Kale and Akshay Vade and Tejasvi Potdar},
Polyester fabric was coated with polyurethane (PU) formulation along with fluorine based water repellent compound for making waterproof breathable fabric. The water repellent properties of the coated fabrics were evaluated by measuring water vapor permeability, spray test, contact angle, hydrostatic pressure and rain test. Physical characteristics of the coated fabrics such as mechanical strength, stiffness and crease recovery were also analyzed. The performance and durability of waterproof… Expand
