Absrracr-In the wireless communication system, interpolated pilot scheme i s usually applied for the Dedicated Pilot Channel. It means that the known pilot symbols are time muttiplexed with dara symbols at the regular inlervals within the t ime duration of one frame. Whether the length o f the pilot symbol interval wil l afftct the performance o f channel estimation a n d what i s the optimal pilot interval? T h e y are lhe main problems studied in this paper.
