Regulations restrict the harmonics permitted on civil aircraft electrical power supplies. However, the More Electric Aircraft (MEA) will see a significant increase in high switching frequency power electronic conversion which may include 3-phase active PWM rectifiers. This paper describes an optimal LCL filter design method for 3-phase 2-level active rectifiers affixed to a variable frequency grid.
