Valley-polarized exciton dynamics in a 2D semiconductor heterostructure
This work created interlayer exciton spin-valley polarization by means of circularly polarized optical pumping and determined a valley lifetime of 40 nanoseconds, which enables the visualization of the expansion of a valley-polarized exciton cloud over several micrometers. Expand
Tightly bound trions in monolayer MoS2.
The spectroscopic identification in a monolayer MoS(2) field-effect transistor of tightly bound negative trions, a quasiparticle composed of two electrons and a hole is reported, which has no analogue in conventional semiconductors. Expand
Zeeman Splitting and Inverted Polarization of Biexciton Emission in Monolayer WS_{2}.
This work studies the magnetic-field-induced splitting of biexcitons in monolayer WS_{2} using polarization-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy in out-of-plane magnetic fields up to 30 T, revealing the critical role of dark exciton in the composition of this many-body state. Expand
Electrical Tuning of Interlayer Exciton Gases in WSe2 Bilayers.
Highly tunable interlayer excitons by an out-of-plane electric field in homobilayers of transition metal dichalcogenides are demonstrated and paved the way for the realization of degenerate exciton gases in atomically thin semiconductors. Expand
Probing the Interlayer Exciton Physics in a MoS2/MoSe2/MoS2 van der Waals Heterostructure.
The results show that through a careful choice of the TMDs forming the van der Waals heterostructure it is possible to control the circular polarization of the interlayer exciton emission, suggesting the presence of quasi-degenerate momentum-direct and momentum-indirect bandgaps. Expand
