Abstract Two American goldeneye ducks, Bucephala clangula americana (Anatidae), collected from the Galveston, Texas, U.S.A., area were infected with 5 (2 in 1 duck and 3 in the second) Ophthalmophagus bucephali n. sp. (Cyclocoelidae). Two additional specimens of this species, also collected from the American goldeneye from Hastings, Minnesota, U.S.A., were found in the holdings of the H. W. Manter Laboratory of Parasitology, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, U.S.A. The new species can be…

TLDR
Seven specimens of cyclocoelids collected from the body cavities of lesser yellowlegs, Tringa flavipes, and deposited in the Manter Laboratory of Parasitology, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska are described.

The present report reviews the status of the genus Maritrema Nicoll, 1907, with the description of a new species, M. ovata, and proposes Maritreeminoides n.
OBSERVATIONS ON POLYMORPHUS MINUTUS (GOEZE, 1782) (ACANTHOCEPHALA) FROM A WILDFOWL RESERVE IN KENT.
TLDR
It is suggested from the observations made on the birds of the reserve, from the results of infecting domestic ducks and from a consideration of the list of final hosts of the parasite, that there exist strains of P. minutus, adapted to development in different species of birds.
Eucotyle castanea n.sp. and other trematodes of the family Eucotylidae from birds in British Columbia
TLDR
Four species of trematodes of the family Eucotylidae were collected from birds in British Columbia and the structure of the cirrus sac in E. castanea and E. cohni and the excretory system of the latter species are described.
Species composition of the genus Streptocara Railliet et al., 1912 and the occurrence of these avian nematodes (Acuariidae) on the Canadian Pacific coast
TLDR
Host-lists and data on prevalence in birds, mainly waterfowl, from British Columbia, Canada, are given for these species and Paracuaria tridentata, and Yamaguti's 1961 list of species of Streptocara is examined critically.
HEMATOZOA OF THE ANATIDAE OF THE ATLANTIC FLYWAY. II. THE MARITIME PROVINCES OF CANADA
TLDR
Black ducks (Anas rubripes) were the most heavily infected of the 14 species of waterfowl sampled and possibly hematozoa may act as a limiting factor on populations of this duck.
A REVIEW OF THE GENUS DENDRITOBILHARZIA SKRJABIN AND ZAKHAROW 1920 (TREMATODA: SCHISTOSOMATIDAE)
TLDR
The arterial systems of aquatic birds are examined rarely, but if portions of that system are excised when such organs as kidneys or lungs are removed, Den- dritobilharzia may emerge from cut arteries, most recoveries are accidental and pub- lished reports have been based on few spec- imens.
