From April 1972 to February 12, 1991, 189 patients with Ebstein's anomaly underwent repair. Ages ranged from 11 months to 64 years (median 16 years, mean 19.1 years). In 58.2%, tricuspid valve reconstruction was possible, and in 36.5%, a prosthetic valve, usually a bioprosthesis, was inserted. In 5.3%, a modified Fontan or other procedure was performed.
