We construct the six-dimensional Lagrangian for the massless twisted open strings with one end-point ending on a stack of D5 and the other on a stack of D9 branes, interacting with the gauge multiplets living respectively on the D5 and D9 branes. It is first obtained by uplifting to six dimensions the four-dimensional Lagrangian of the hypermultiplet and manifestly exhibits an SU(2) symmetry. We show by an explicit calculation that it is supersymmetric in six dimensions and then we check… Expand
The classical solution for the Bosonic string in the presence of three D-branes rotated by arbitrary SO(4) elements
Abstract We consider the classical instantonic contribution to the open string configuration associated with three D-branes with relative rotation matrices in SO ( 4 ) which corresponds to theExpand
Light cone quantization and interactions of a new closed bosonic string inspired to D1 string
Abstract We quantize the bosonic part of the D 1 string with closed boundary conditions on the light cone and we consider the U ( 1 ) worldsheet gauge field a dynamical variable. We compute alsoExpand
Canonical quantization of a string describing $N$ branes at angles
Abstract We study the canonical quantization of a bosonic string in presence of N twist fields. This generalizes the quantization of the twisted string in two ways: the in and out states are notExpand
ZN twisted orbifold models with magnetic flux
A bstractWe propose new backgrounds of extra dimensions to lead to four-dimensional chiral models with three generations of matter fermions, that is T2/ZN twisted orbifolds with magnetic fluxes. WeExpand
Superfield description of 10D SYM theory with magnetized extra dimensions
Abstract We present a four-dimensional (4D) N = 1 superfield description of supersymmetric Yang–Mills (SYM) theory in ten-dimensional (10D) spacetime with certain magnetic fluxes in compactifiedExpand
More about branes on a general magnetized torus

Classification of three-generation models on magnetized orbifolds
Abstract We classify the combinations of parameters which lead three generations of quarks and leptons in the framework of magnetized twisted orbifolds on T 2 / Z 2 , T 2 / Z 3 , T 2 / Z 4 and T 2 /Expand
Magnetized Branes and the Six-Torus
In the framework of Type IIB String Theory compactified on a general six-torus T6 with arbitrary complex structure, Yukawa couplings are determined for the chiral matter described by open stringsExpand
Operator analysis of physical states on magnetized T 2 /Z N orbifolds
We discuss an effective way for analyzing the system on the magnetized twisted orbifolds in operator formalism, especially in the complicated cases T2/Z3, T2/Z4 and T2/Z6. We can obtain the exact andExpand
On the gauge chosen by the bosonic open string
Abstract String theory gives S matrix elements from which is not possible to read any gauge information. Using factorization we go off shell in the simplest and most naive way and we read which areExpand

Flux-induced SUSY-breaking soft terms on D7–D3 brane systems
Abstract We study the effect of RR and NSNS 3-form fluxes on the effective action of the world-volume fields of Type IIB D7/D3 brane configurations. The D7-branes wrap 4-cycles Σ 4 on a localExpand
