An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the measurement of insulin in human serum has been developed. The test is based on the sandwich technique with two monoclonal antibodies directed against two different epitopes of insulin using coated plastic tubes as the solid phase and horse radish peroxidase as the label.
