During the process of compiling a checklist of Malesian Zingiberaceae, material referred to the synonymous genus Geanthus was examined carefully as the presently accepted genus Etlingera was likely to be involved. In this process it became evident that a new name, Amomum centrocephalum, and eight new combinations in Etlingera had to be made.
A New Species, Etlingera palangkensis (Zingiberaceae) from Borneo
A new species of ginger, Etlingerapalangkensis (Zingiberaceae) it described from Borneo. Though similar to E. nasuta, the new apecies la clearly distinguished by the color of flowers and ahape of
Transfer of Amomum fenzlii, a Nicobar Islands endemic, to Etlingera (Zingiberaceae).
A new combination of Etlingera fenzlii (Kurz) Škorničk. & M. Sabu (Zingiberaceae) based on the basionym, Amomum fenzlii Kurz, is proposed. Recent exploration on Great Nicobar Island resulted in the
A REVISION OF AMOMUM (ZINGIBERACEAE) IN SUMATRA
Amomum Roxb. (Zingiberaceae) in Sumatra, Indonesia is revised. Twenty-four species are recognised, most names are typified, detailed descriptions of species are provided and a key to these species is
HOW MANY SPECIES OF ETLINGERA (ZINGIBERACEAE) ARE THERE IN THE PHILIPPINES?
TLDR
Based on studies of types and recent collections, the number of species of Etlingera Giseke in the Philippines is doubled from eight to 16, and nine lectotypifications are proposed, of which three represent second-step designations.
Names of Tapeinochilos (Costaceae) in Wallacea
TLDR
There is no evidence that any species of Tapeinochilos occurs in the island of Sulawesi; the westernmost presence of the genus being in the Sula Islands represented by T. ananassae, the only species thus presently occurring in Wallacea.
Nelumbo fossils from the Miocene deposits of Dobrzyń nad Wisłą, Central Poland
TLDR
Miocene paleoclimatic and paleoecological conditions in Dobrzyn were similar to those of modern Nelumbo habitats, which supports the new interpretation of A. europaeum to Zingiberaceae.

The phylogeny and a new classification of the gingers (Zingiberaceae): evidence from molecular data.
TLDR
New phylogenetic analyses based on DNA sequences of the nuclear internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and plastid matK regions suggest that at least some of these morphological traits are homoplasious and three of the tribes are paraphyletic.
