We evaluate the impact of radiative corrections in the ratios $$\Gamma [B\rightarrow M \mu ^+\mu ^-]/\Gamma [B\rightarrow M \mathrm{e}^+\mathrm{e}^-]$$Γ[B→Mμ+μ-]/Γ[B→Me+e-] when the meson M is a K or a $$K^*$$K∗. Employing the cuts on $$m^2_{\ell \ell }$$mℓℓ2 and the reconstructed B-meson mass presently applied by the LHCb Collaboration, such corrections do not exceed a few $$\%$$%. Moreover, their effect is well described (and corrected for) by existing Monte Carlo codes. Our analysis…

Explaining the $$R_K$$RK and $$R_{K^*}$$RK∗ anomalies
Recent LHCb results on $$R_{K^*}$$RK∗, the ratio of the branching fractions of $$B \rightarrow K^* \mu ^+ \mu ^-$$B→K∗μ+μ- to that of $$B \rightarrow K^* e^+ e^-$$B→K∗e+e-, for the dilepton invariant
New physics effects in purely leptonic $$B^*_s$$Bs∗ decays
Recently several measurements in the neutral current sector $$b\rightarrow s l^+l^-$$b→sl+l- ($$l=e$$l=e or $$\mu $$μ) as well as in the charged current sector $$b \rightarrow c \tau {\bar{\nu
Lepton-flavor universality violation in $R_{D^{(*)}}$ and $R_K$ from warped space
Some anomalies in the processes $b\to s\ell\ell$ ($\ell=\mu,e$) and $b\to c \ell\bar\nu_\ell$ ($\ell=\tau,\mu,e$), in particular in the observables $R_{D^{(*)}}$ and $R_K$, have been found by the
Status of the $$B\rightarrow K^*\mu ^+\mu ^-$$B→K∗μ+μ- anomaly after Moriond 2017
Motivated by recent results by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations on the angular distribution of the $$B \rightarrow K^* \mu ^+\mu ^-$$B→K∗μ+μ- decay, we perform a state-of-the-art analysis of rare B

The recent intriguing measurements of $R_{K}$ and $R_{K^*}$ are important hints of new physics that violates lepton universality. We analyze the semileptonic decays $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ in the
Phenomenology of $\,{{b\to c\tau\bar\nu }}\,$ decays in a scalar leptoquark model
During the past few years, hints of Lepton Flavour Universality (LFU) violation have been observed in $b \to c \tau \bar\nu$ and $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^-$ transitions. Recently, the $D^*$ and $\tau$
Two Higgs doublet models and $$b\rightarrow s$$b→s exclusive decays
We computed the leading order Wilson coefficients relevant to all the exclusive $$b\rightarrow s\ell ^+\ell ^-$$b→sℓ+ℓ- decays in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) with a softly
Recent $$\varvec{B}$$B physics anomalies: a first hint for compositeness?
We scrutinize the recently further strengthened hints for new physics in semileptonic B-meson decays, focusing on the ‘clean’ ratios of branching fractions $$R_K$$RK and $$R_{K^*}$$RK∗ and examining
$B\to K^\ast_2(1430)\ell^+\ell^-$ distributions in Standard Model at large recoil
We study the rare decay $B\to K_2^\ast(1430)(\to K\pi)\ell^+\ell^-$ in the Standard Model and beyond. Working in the transversity basis, we exploit the relations between the heavy-to-light form
Consequences of R-parity violating interactions for anomalies in $${\bar{B}}\rightarrow D^{(*)} \tau {\bar{\nu }}$$B¯→D(∗)τν¯ and $$b\rightarrow s \mu ^+\mu ^-$$b→sμ+μ-
We investigate the possibility of explaining the enhancement in semileptonic decays of $${\bar{B}} \rightarrow D^{(*)} \tau {\bar{\nu }}$$B¯→D(∗)τν¯, the anomalies induced by $$b\rightarrow s\mu
