Fractional kinetic equations have gained importance during the last decade due to their occurrence in certain problems in science and engineering. This article gives a brief survey of various fractional kinetic equations solved by a number of authors. We also present a new method for solving the fractional kinetic equations that is different from that using Laplace transform.
