The possibility of meson condensation in stars and in heavy-ion collisions has been discussed in the past. Here, we study whether rho meson condensation ($\rho^{-}$) can occur in very dense matter and determine the effect of strong magnetic fields on this condensation. We find that rho meson condensates can appear in the core of the neutron star assuming a rho mass which is reduced due to in-medium effects. We find that the magnetic field has a non-negligible effect in triggering condensation.

Neutron Stars—Possibilities and Limits for Exotic Phases
Neutron star physics has become one of the central topics of nuclear astrophysics. The extremely high densities in the core region of neutron stars potentially allow for exotic particles and phases
On Manifestation of In-Medium Effects in Neutron Stars and Heavy-Ion Collisions
This review focuses on the demonstration of an interrelation between various in-medium effects, which are manifested in the phenomena occurring in neutron stars and heavy-ion collisions. More
Possibility of $ \rho$ρ meson condensation in neutron stars: Unified approach of chiral SU(3) model and QCD sum rules
Abstract. In the present work the conjunction of chiral SU(3) model with QCD sum rules is employed to explore the possibility of $ \rho$ρ meson condensation in neutron stars. The quark and gluon
Hyperons in Neutron Stars
I review the issues related to the appearance of hyperons in neutron star matter, focusing in particular on the problem of the maximum mass supported by hyperonic equations of state. I discuss the
Exploring effects of magnetic field on the Hadron Resonance Gas
We present a study of the effects of magnetic fields on fluctuations and correlations in hadron resonance gas model. We find significant changes in the fluctuations of net baryon number, electric

Medium modifications to the omega -meson mass in the Walecka model.
TLDR
This work calculates the effective mass of the [omega] meson in nuclear matter in a relativistic random-phase approximation to the Walecka model and reports a reduction in the meson mass of about 170 MeV at nuclear-matter saturation density.
Hybrid stars in a strong magnetic field
We study the effects of high magnetic fields on the particle population and equation of state of hybrid stars using an extended hadronic and quark SU(3) non-linear realization of the sigma model. In
Magnetic moment of the rho-meson in QCD sum rules: alpha s -corrections
The magnetic moment of the rho-meson is calculated in the framework of QCD sum rules in external fields. Perturbative corrections are taken into account. Bare loop calculations (parton model) give
Kaon properties in (proto-)neutron star matter
Abstract. The modification of kaon and antikaon properties in the interior of (proto-)neutron stars is investigated using a chiral SU(3) model. The parameters of the model are fitted to nuclear-matter
