The genus Physiculus Kaup, 1858, comprises about 40 species (Paulin 1989, 1991; Trunov, 1991; Shcherbachev, 1993; Anderson and Tweddle, 2002). Some of them are common, others are known only from single specimens. The little known P. longifilis Weber, 1913, described from the Flores Sea (Indonesia) belongs to the latter category (Weber, 1913). The revision of this genus (Paulin, 1989) indicated only three specimens: two syntypes from Indonesia and one specimen from the Philippines. Later, this…

TLDR
Representatives of genuslotella and family Bythitidae first are reliably reported for the fauna of Vietnam, and genus Lotella first for South China Sea, and information is presented about the capture of not identified up to species and probably new for science representatives of genus Physiculus in Gulf of Tonkin.
