In the East Mediterranean, five species of the family Plakobranchidae have been recorded (Koutsoubas and Koukouras 1993; Turkmen and Demirsoy 2009). Elysia gordanae Thompson& Jaklin 1988 is a small elysiid, between 10 and 17 mm in length, and can be found in shallow waters on rocky bottoms. It feeds upon Acetabularia acetabulum (Linnaeus) P.C.
