    • In a survey of larval trematodes infecting snails in the vicinity of Mountain Lake Biological Station, Mountain Lake, Virginia, 16 species of cercariae were encountered, some of which are probably not yet described. Among them, one minute virgulate xiphidiocercaria was found experimentally to be the larva of a lecithodendriid species belonging to the subgenus Acanthatrium.
