We study the variations of the worldvolume fields in the non-abelian action for multiple D-branes. Using T-duality we find that the embedding scalars transform non-trivially under NS-NS gauge transformations as δX ~ [X,X] and prove that the non-abelian Chern-Simons action is invariant under these transformations. Given that T-duality relates the (part of the) NS-NS transformation with (part of the) general coordinate transformations, we can get some insight in the structure of non-abelian… Expand
The group structure of non-Abelian NS-NS transformations
We study the transformations of the worldvolume fields of a system of multiple coinciding D-branes under gauge transformations of the supergravity Kalb-Ramond field. We find that the pure gauge partExpand
Abelian gauge invariance of the WZ-type coupling in ABJM theory
Abstract We construct the interaction terms between the worldvolume fields of multiple M2-branes and 3-form gauge field of 11-dimensional supergravity, in the context of ABJM theory. The obtainedExpand
On matrix geometry and effective actions
Abstract We provide an elementary systematic discussion of single-trace matrix actions and of the group of matrix reparameterization that acts on them. The action of this group yields a generalizedExpand
Comparing two definitions for gauge variations of dielectric D-branes
We compare two definitions of gauge variations in the case of non-Abelian actions for multiple D-branes. Equivalence is proven for the R-R variations, which shows that the action is invariant alsoExpand

Multiple fundamental strings and waves to non-linear order in the background fields
Abstract The Chern–Simons actions of the multiple fundamental string and the multiple gravitational wave are established to full order in the background fields. Gauge invariance is checked. SpecialExpand

A bstractWe present the covariant supersymmetric and κ-symmetric action for a system of N nearly coincident M-waves (multiple M0-brane system) in flat eleven dimensional superspace.
